This book for which I have been asked to write a foreword is an English translation of the Telugu original ‘Kasiyatra Charitra’ compiled by a friend to whom Sri Enugula Veeraswamy had written letters from time to time after Sri Veeraswamy had written letters from time after Sri Veeraswamy started on Pilgrimage in 1830 to Kasi. The letters highlight the cultural, historical social and economic aspects of life in the regions travelled by the writer.
