Book Description
The distress seasonal migration of hundreds and thousands of families who leave their homes every year. In search of an income to survive, is a reality in several states in India. Some states and regions attract migrant labour, while others provide it. In this direscnario, children have no option but to follow their migrant parents to the worksites, drop out of school and be forced into hard labour. Informal estimates place the total number of people affected by this inhumane phenomenon close to 70 million, of which around 15 million comprise children of school-going age.
