The Concept of Social Work is based on the respect for intrinsic worth and dignity of people as a whole, and the consequent rights. Social workers are expected to respect and encourage people’s right to make their choices and decisions, inspective of their values and life choices, such that their actions do not threaten the rights and interests of others.
