Book Description

The rule of the last Nizam of Hyderabad Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan from 1911 to 1948 is considered to be the best in the long and chequered history of Asaf Jahi dynasty. Mir Osman Ali Khan among many other qualities is widely known for his passion for propagation and development of education in all its forms. His multi-dimensional patronage of education, art and literature was the most embellishing part of his rule and administration. It was available to one and all irrespective of caste, religion or culture, not only within his kingdom but also outside it. Many non-Muslim institutions and organizations benefited from the magnanimity of the Nizam, a proof of his secular outlook. The Nizam also took interest in the upliftment  and welfare of his people.
