In the book ‘Through the Sikh War’ Mr. G. A. Henry has tried to give an eve witness account of the leading incidents in the two Sikh Wars of Moodkee and Sabraon. He may look hyperbolic in his description and hypocritic in his portrayal of the Sikh army, yet he obliged to glorify the Sikh warriors who fought these battles valiantly.
The writer does not refrain from limelighting the suspicious role played by some of the Sikh army chiefs which rendered the brave Sikh helpless in the battle field. It is felt that as a result of the second Sikh war the sun finally set on Khalsa Raj casting a dark spell of servitude on Punjab.
