This book is the outcome of three years of study and research. Originally submitted as a doctoral dissertation to the Gregorian University, at the Institute of spirituality, Rome, it has been retouched and enriched with the suggestions of scholars and friends there is no doubt that many years' experience in the formation and guidance of religious also helped me very much in writing this book.
