Arthur Sulzberger Golden is an American author. He is the writer of the bestselling novel Memoirs of a Geisha.After the Japanese version of Memoirs of a Geisha become published, Golden was sued for breach of settlement and defamation of individual by way of Iwasaki. The plaintiff claimed that Golden had agreed to guard her anonymity, if she told him about her lifestyles as a geisha because of the traditional code of silence about their clients. The lawsuit was settled out of court docket in February 2003.
